GOALS
- Providing educational related work experiences in state government.
- Broadening the awareness of the schools and students relative to the role of the Constitutional Offices and the careers available in these offices.
- Providing students with the opportunity to apply textbook theory to real life experiences.
- Assisting in preparing students for the transition from full-time student to full-time employee.
- Participation may provide the opportunity for full-time employment upon graduation.
- Competitive internship salaries.
ELIGIBILITY
- The presidents of the colleges and universities have been invited to designate their institution to participate in this program. Each institution participating will appoint member(s) of its faculty or administration as its official representative. The representative(s) will assist in general administration of the program on campus, identify students eligible for the program, and act as a liaison with the Program Coordinator.
- Students must be enrolled in Tennessee public and/or private colleges and universities or be a permanent resident of Tennessee attending an out-of-state college or university..
- Students must be classified as juniors, seniors, and/or graduate students.
- Students must have a "B" average or better.
- Major fields of study may include Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, English, Finance, Geoscience, History, Journalism, Law, Library Science, Management Information Systems, Marketing, Math, Political Science, Public Administration, Public Relations, Social Science and related fields.
